  • TCA - Trichloroacetic Acid for penetration, deep scar healing; stimulates collagen growth·

  • Retin-A - an acid derived from vitamin A to combat wrinkles

  • Salicylic Acid - this beta hydroxy acid (BHA) is an exfoliant

  • Phenol - has antiseptic and anesthetic properties; aids in skin penetration

Considerations:

VI Peel is contraindicated for pregnant or nursing women and those who are allergic to any of these ingredients.

Immediately after treatment, your skin my feel tingly, tighter and slightly tan or red.

Peeling usually starts on about the third day and continues for one to two days.

Visible signs of peeling can be easily managed with moisturizer or our VI Peel Post repair kit.

Avoid prolonged exposure to sun and use facial sunscreen at all times.

Vigorous exercise should be avoided initially as perspiration may irritate sensitized skin.

Discontinue use of other exfoliating products one week before treatment.

Laser and other chemical peels should not be used for 30 days prior to treatment.

Avoid removing peeling skin or discoloration or scaring may occur.

In case of irritation, an over the counter product called Aloe Cort can be applied.· DO NOT USE hydrocortisone cream, as it is not formulated for facial skin.

Men should not shave on the day after treatment.
