Restylane is a dermal filler gel that is injected into the skin in order to restore lost volume to lips, smooth wrinkles, facial sculpting and contouring  and improving other facial features such as cheekbones and jawline.  

 

Restylane is a hyaluronic acid which is a natural substance already present in your body. Once injected in the skin, Restylane works by restoring volume to the facial foundation. . The hyaluronic acid in Restylane are derived from non-animal substances.

RESTYLANE INJECTIONS PROCEDURE

 

Restylane injections are administered by Dr. Epstein at his Miami Beach office. His typical patients are from 35 to 60. It is most often performed with local anesthesia, especially if the patient’s lips are being treated.  Depending upon the complexity of the treatment, the procedure can take from a few minutes up to a half hour.

 

Dr. Epstein begins each Restylane procedure by carefully selecting facial areas where Restylane will be injected. He then might administer local anesthesia in order to make the procedure more comfortable. He than uses a very fine needle to inject precise amounts of Restylane in the skin. Once injected in the skin, Restylane's hyaluronic acid attracts water molecules, helping create youthful volume around the injection sites.
