Restylane Lyft® Dermal Filler

Restylane Lyft (formerly Perlane) dermal filler is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. Restylane Lyft cosmetic injection dermal fillers are used to add volume and fullness for deep wrinkles, scars and enhance lips. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane Lyft cosmetic injections is a crystal clear gel that is chemically cross-linked to delay breakdown by skin enzymes.  It is non-animal-based and free from animal protein.  This quality prevents disease transmission.  Allergy pre-testing is not necessary.
 
Restylane Lyft can be combined with BOTOX® or Restylane®, depending on your specific needs. RESTYLANE LYFT INJECTIONS PROCEDURE
Restylane Lyft cosmetic injections are administered by Dr. Epstein at his private and discreet practice in Miami Beach, FL.  Dr. Epstein injects Restylane Lyft directly into the skin using an ultrafine needle for minimum discomfort. A topical numbing cream or locally-injected anesthetic cream may be used. Once the treated area is numbed and cleansed with alcohol, Perlane is injected directly into the skin slowly and safely in small amounts. The gel produces volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. You can expect to see results immediately. Restylane Lyft dermal filler cosmetic injections take approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on the areas being treated.

  • Use cold compresses to reduce swelling.

  • Avoid touching the treated area for the first six hours following treatment, so you do not accidentally injure your skin while the area is numb.

  • After six hours, the area can be gently washed with soap and water.

  • Avoid exposure to intense heat (sun lamp or sunbathing) or cold.

  • Reduce the risk of facial cold sore recurrence that could be caused by needle punctures. Talk with your healthcare professional about medications that may minimize an outbreak.

  • Avoid taking aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St John's wort, or high doses of vitamin E supplements for one week after treatment. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.

  • After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years.
